Help me please !!!
I am in bad need of some help here guys.
Regrettably, I'm still having sound problems when I'm in-game (CoD 2 & CoD WaW) and connected to Team-Speak 3.

Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit.
Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio.
Headset: Razer Megalodon 7.1 (USB)

The problem:

After a short space of time ( usually around 5-15 Min's) my sound goes, both in-game & on TS?
The strange thing is when I'm not connected to TS everything works fine?

This led me to first believe that the problem must be connected with TS.

Attempted solutions:

1: Team-Speak 3.
After checking my sound settings in TS.
Complete removal & re-installation of TS 3.

2: Internet Connection.
Checked my Internet connection & found out that it was running well under capacity.
Contacted my provider. They rectified the situation.

3: Sound card driver updates/ new installation.

Updated with Windows Vista.
Complete sound card driver removal & new installation of the latest driver from the Realtek web-site. (6.0.1.6043).

Nothing has worked! The problem remains?

As you have a USB headset the sound is processed by this using its own drivers, not your Realtek ones.

Couple of things to try.

- Uninstall the realtek drivers and use the default windows ones.
- Try a non-usb headset / mic

From the Razor FAQ Page:

Quote
Q: My audio or microphone suddenly cuts off when using my Megalodon.

A: Razer and Microsoft are aware of intermittent issues that may occur with the Razer Megalodon and users of certain Vista 64 bit systems. The most common issue will be your audio or your microphone cutting out. We are working hard to find an answer to this intermittent problem and hope to have a solution in the very near future. We know this issue is very frustrating for you and we are working hard to find the solution. We ask kindly for your patience as we try to remedy this issue for any of the affected users. Megalodon users with other types of updated operating systems are not affected by this issue. If you are using a Megalodon and are having similar issues please be sure your operating system has all the available updates installed. Vista users want to make sure that Service Pack 2 (SP2) has been installed on their computers. If you are in need of further assistance with your Megalodon please contact us at the links below and we will be happy to assist you.

At last, I think it is sorted.

1, I lost all Realtek drivers & installed default windows one.

2, Updated my Megalodon Firmware: Razer Megalodon 64-bit Firmware Updater v2.12. ( Which was a nightmare to do).

3, Changed my in-game sound mode to: Creative Labs EAX (TM). ( Found this information while searching through problem solution Forums ).

Thanks for all your help Robbo, Steve & Chris.
Hopefully all goes well & I hope that none of you |Brothers| ever have similar problems.

NO WAY !!! ITS STILL HAPPENING ???

Although I had an hour of trouble free gaming late last night.

Looks like a new sound card is what I need.

Or is this a Team Speak issue?

Disconnected while using TS3 (Crash TS + Crash ADSL Line)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all I try to explain the problem.
I've installed TS3 on my pc some days ago and every time I go in a room with more than one (or few) people my TS crashes. But not only TS, entire ADSL line too! It seems to be connected but I can't have access to any site, so I must restart my router.
The crash takes place after 10 sec - until 5 minutes (I think) randomly after I enter in one room with 10+ people (as I usually do).
And, as I said before, I tried to talk with one/two people in a room for 20 minutes and nothing happens.

Here the datas, and pls try to help me T_T:

TeamSpeak version including build number: 3.0.0-beta13 [Build: 10118] 32 bit
Operating System including Service Packs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (I though 64 bit, but 64bit TS3 version didn't work, so it should be 32.. maybe) + 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600
Soundcard & Driver version: Realtek High Definition Audio + Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Drivers
DirectX version: DirectX 9.0c
Error message: there's no errors, simply I loose the connection.
How often does the error appear: Explained before.
What did you try to fix the problem?: I tried to reinstall the client, and I don't think that is an ADSL problem, because only with TS3 my adsl line crashes too.

Thanks in advance.

I can report same problem here

Windows 7 64-bit (up-to-date)
Wireless-N ADSL2+ Gateway WAG160N
Firmware-Version:V1.00.15

Router Logfile shows DoS Attack entry on the TS Server IP&port.
After 10-20 reports Router causes therefore disconnect.

I would probably rule out TS3 unless it is just not playing nice with your USB headset. If the server had been DOS'ed everyone else would have noticed.

Your soundcard is probably not the problem here as your razor does not use it. I would try getting / borrowing a regular headset with 2 3.5mm jacks instead of a usb and seeing if the problem reoccurs.

Can you post a section from the router log file?

Very true m8.

The problem started with my old headset & that had 2 3.5mm jacks.
That was one of the reasons why I invested in a new one.

A mate has told me I have two different problems here:

1, DirectX could be causing the problem in CoD 2.

2, That the sound problem in CoD WaW is well known & that it will disappear when I have installed the Patches 1.2 - 1.4 - 1.5 - 1.6 - 1.7.
